BETHERAN 25MG TABLET contains Bethanechol which belongs to the group of medicines called Cholinergic agents.
BETHERAN 25MG TABLET contains Bethanechol which belongs to the group of medicines called Cholinergic agents. It is used in the management of urinary retention (inability to empty the bladder) following an operation or after giving birth or other health problems (such as brain, spinal or nerve problems) and also used to manage reflux esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus due to back flow of stomach contents into the esophagus).
BETHERAN 25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with gut or heart problems, asthma, fits, parkinsonism or if you had recent surgery on your stomach. BETHERAN 25MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients taking certain medicines for heart problems, as a critical fall in blood pressure may occur.
BETHERAN 25MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if clearly advised by the doctor. It is not recommended for use in elderly patients (above 70 years of age).
The most common side effects of taking BETHERAN 25MG TABLET are diarrhea, skin flushing, increased salivation and sweating, decreased body temperature (hypothermia), etc. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.
